I’ve been on an unrelenting quest to find a right size mouse for literal decades. Tried dozens of brands and form factors and most of them were close but never exactly what I hoped for.
Enter Hansker. I had tried a vertical oriented mouse before, but none this size. And for fit it is absolutely perfect. Love using it.
For a generation 2 of this mouse I’d like to see better more tactile aide buttons (current ones are a little “mushy”). And add a couple more. Or maybe instead of 4 buttons, a D-Pad from a game controller. That gen2 would make me a customer for life.
I am not a gaming mouse connoisseur, this is only the 5th gaming mouse I've ever purchased.
My previous was the Razer DeathAdder V2. Which I was pretty satisfied with.
The Hansker mouse is definitely superior in the ergenomics department. In fact, I don't ever want to go back to any "horizontal" mouse again. If you're an FPS fan looking for an edge, I truly believe this the best mouse on the market, and is worth the money.
However.
While the mouse does NOT feel cheap, it does not feel particularly premium. I wish the plastic was thicker (or denser?) / grippier. The mouse wheel is serviceable but could be improved (feel-wise). And while the buttons themselves are all very solid, lets be honest, they could feel "clickier". And a personal nitpick: I wish it was heavier.
For the generall population, it is sized perfectly. Although, I wish they would release an XL model for people with larger hands (like myself).
My hands are about 8 inches (20.3 cm) from wrist to tip of my middle finger. I have to resort to a claw-grip to fully grasp it. If it was a bit larger I could use a palm grip and fully reap the ergonomic benefits.
wtf is a conclusion paragraph, bro, just stop reading.
I've been off and on using it, tried a few fps's and I didn't like how high my hand rode, it really threw off my aim. The polling rate is great, it's light, I just need to get used to it. However I've been using this mouse for casual things and my normal mouse for competitive games. I'll try to make the switch permanently. My wrist would thank me. I do have severe carpal tunnel and stressed nerves in my hand and wrist, this mouse seriously helps it so much. I'll give this thing 5 stars when I'm more competent with it.
This is the first mouse to meet all my requirements for a vertical mouse. After using it for a while, I have nearly zero complaints and think it is easily the best mouse I've used. And, the price is quite fair for a small-scale, first-of-its-kind product.
